Not to mention that the wealthiest among us in this city deliberately plan their lives around owning out-of-state homes and owing minimal state/city tax. The ones without absurd means are left holding the bag. And we have derelict stations, 50 year old train cars, and trash strewn streets to show for it. Meanwhile the Buffalo Bills, and their billionaire owner, get a free $800m subsidy on their new stadium.

Right wingers across the country love to get frothy mouthed about crime and other Democrat-city misdeeds, but it is fascinating to me that they give relatively little attention to the real rot, waste, and corruption that we have in our state.

AJ will always be the character I loathe the most, but he was a 100% boon for the story as a whole. Tony's lack of meaningful fatherhood directly results in a son who's lazy, unmotivated, and unfit for a life in either the world of wealth he was born into, or the criminal life his father dominates. Some of Tony's greatest displays of hypocrisy and misplaced sense of values are shown through his relationship with AJ.

No character growth, characters who are shitty and shallow, no central plot point - these are all very intentional themes. It's a dark comedy and one of the central features is all the different flavors of shitty each character is. Let me guess - you also hated Seinfeld because the characters were awful and showed no growth over nine seasons.

There's a difference between a show being terrible and you simply just not liking it. I'm not a fan of ballets, but I'd be quite a dipshit if I complained about a critically acclaimed production and whined about the lack of dialogue. Get a clue, OP.

Manhattan has a ton of these units in old brownstones - and a lot of them are duplexes with a floor above it so it's not like the residents are living like full on mole people.

And lmao you think this is a sewer, really?
