They were TKO's. The fights were called off due to the brutal nature of the fight.

Reply to TIL Peter Weller, who played RoboCop, went on to get his Ph.D. in Italian Renaissance Art History and wrote his dissertation about Renaissance artist/philosopher Leon Battista Alberti by kamyizme
He played a villain in the show "The Last Ship" where his character was a professor of ancient history and peppers in facts about the renaissance art and architecture throughout his monologues. I loved his History Channel show Engineering An Empire when i was a kid.
