Guns are in the constitution, cars, coffee, and knives are not, so regulating them is much easier.
Im pro 2A. I own guns legally. I want other people to own guns legally. The issues we have now are because people no longer have any respect for life or fear of consequences. The new argument i hear when people commit violent crimes is that “ they had a bad day, moment of weakness, shouldn’t remove them from society because if a bad day” and i just dont get it.

Do you really not see the violence the drug trade has caused in poorer communities? Its a black market item so that makes it way more dangerous. Colombia in the 80s/90s, mexico now.
Please the war on drugs has been an enormous failure

We tried that with booze once and it didn’t work at all and keeping coke illegal hasnt been working for 50 years

The difference is the people that are living in Philly have gotten worse. The guns arent bad, the petusing them are. There seems to be a real lack of any value or respect on life. Every shooting you hear the same we need to stop the violence talk but nothing changes.
Violent criminals should never get out of jail but that ship has sailed in Philly. Its every’s fault but the criminals or some nonsense like that

I thought his inquirer column before his radio show (Brooky & The Rookie maybe) was pretty good. I didnt listen to him much on wip and i think some of the ratings were because it was the only sports talk morning show for a good part of his run, but he was a part of the philly sports scene for a really long time
