Because those people spend the majority of their waking hours contributing to your local economy instead of someone else's. Because those people provide a nearby critical resource to your community. Because having educated health workers in your city is a universal benefit.

It is 100% a supply issue.

There is lots of cheap weed on the gray market. If you want to go to a store and buy it, the supply does not exist, so it's expensive.

This isn't rocket science, but you're too busy being mad and feeling self-righteous to have any conversation that isn't about how right you are.

The Hood was not destroyed because of "British overconfidence".

The Bismarck escaping into the Atlantic shipping lanes was a threat they could not allow. The Hood and the Prince of Wales were forced to shadow the Bismarck with their radars so that it could be attacked.

No one thought the Hood could beat the Bismarck in a fight - British, German, or otherwise.
