Bruce Willis ripping the car door off in Unbreakable. For what it is its such a quiet film but in that moment I remember the music ramping up which drives a lot of the panic and emotion. Also I think he does it relatively effortlessly and it just sort of, happens? It's just there so you know he's always had this strength and he's just gotten on with his life with that knowledge.

I haven't kept up with any of his films outside of Hollywood - but while rush hour series is good, I think three is a step down and also Shanghai Noon and Knights are far better.

Don't compare to police story, meals on wheels etc but Shanghai is so good!

I did not know muschetti did that... I knew del toto produced. Explains why it was somewhat good - such a shame, there's huge chunks of that film missing.

I'm always in awe at 2012.

The sheer scale of destruction is unbelievable and watching it unfurl with shitty dialogue is almost hilarious - it's so much fun to watch. An extended sequence behind a couple of grannies driving not realising end of world scale destruction, with all the screams of hundreds of thousands is insane. A plane flying through the cracks of the world with subway trains emerging from tunnels only to descend into a firey abyss - all the passengers are animated within it running with absolute futile.

Got a nothing but respect for the animators on that one. The attention to detail is maddeningly impressive.

It works so well as a one and done but in true fashion the show must go on with progressively worse entries, with y really only the tantalising threat of a last minute twist which could never match one. Plus there's the endless mystery plot devices and questions that are only answered the sequel after.

It's bananas. And the twist to the last one was just annoying, though I didn't see Spiral...
