Reply to BMW M leather jacket 40+ years old. I inherited it from my stepfather 20 years ago and wore it every year since then, like across fall & winter time. The zip is now broken, the color faded away but still - by far - my favorite jacket. by k7v1n
glassteelhammer is right: totally repairable.
would either buy a zipper yourself (so like - so can insure the quality) and bring to a good drycleaner who offers mending. (this path saves you $$)
or bring to a tailor. (get quote first - and be prepared to go to 3-5 tailors... I once didn't get a quote for a pair of jeans and was $90-something dollars! ouch, but my fault b/c didn't ask for a quote - and while coulda left those jeans there, never picked-up.. did like them)

have you considered the weight vests? a friend of mine (she's tiny - about 5' tall, size zero) was training for a big mountain climb (in Pacific NWest).. she got a small vest, then also a large vest - wore them both and ran a few miles a day..... just thinking maybe you could wear a vest (or two), then if really ambitious backtop w/ weight as third layer.... the vests WILL stay on well, and if do this, won't stress a backback too much.

IKEA quality has increased enormously in the last dozen+ years (used to be that every item 'screamed IKEA w/ undertones of 'not expensive' - no more)
That said: beware of beds (esp) and bedding (maybe not duvets?).. this is because Ikea bed sizes from Sweden.. NOT USA Standards! So, if buy an Ikea bed, limited to aways buying Ikea sheets. Again might not be the case w/ a Duvet, but mesaure!
