I swapped to the kind that pull out from a cabinet. Rev-a-shelf makes them. Dog proof and just takes a simple open plastic bin.

I love my woolrich parka. Got it about 7 years ago at the macys Presidents’ Day sale for about $200? It’s a great shape and VERY warm. That being said, I do work outside, so it may be overkill for all but the most brutal days.

Hmmmm. 7-8 years? Isn’t that just the way? 😭😭😭

If you can manage two pairs and alternate they’ll both last much longer. Dansko’s are the closest work shoe I’ve found for 14+ hours on your feet to BIFL. They’re not safety toe, but they’re quite sturdy and strong in the toe box. Sizing can be a bit tricky as they vary a bit between pairs, so worth seeking them out in person.

I prefer Staub for investment enamel cookware. The handles come as metal standard, the insides are black, not white, so you avoid seeing staining. Mine is going on 12 years now and, while the outside could use a little time with some BKF, it’s still in pristine condition with heavy use.

It was just their 100% linen sheets. Mine are white.

I have a linen set from west elm that’s about 8 years old and still excellent. Rotating 2 sets from parachute now that are about 2 years old and pristine. Wash on cooler water when you’re not dealing with a stain or post sickness, dry on a low setting or line dry if possible. Also worth reaching out to lands end. They may replace for you even outside of warranty for manufacturing defect. Edit: typo

High end: staub or le creuset. Low end: enameled camping kettle.

Rowenta for consumer model. If you sew or quilt and have the room, it may be worth investing in a commercial grade steam iron and just using batting covered with muslin stapled to a tabletop for ironing. This, for example.

I’d run the middle and get staub. The handle on the lid is metal, the basting dots are perfect, mine is pristine after 10 years of hard use. Also tends to go on better sales than le creuset.

Even my crafty ass dogs can’t open cabinets? But they can knock over literally any trash can.
