we already have gas in the room so conversion will be relatively easy.
5g for a new tank was the estimate from the corporate oil company that we use and had a service plan through. Got some quotes for a bit less but while doing this it is a good opportunity to switch.
our boiler is a weil mclain its not new but works great may have some value on fb marketplace not sure yet.
we got a good price on a viessman high efficiency combi boiler and to remove tank so going that route.........

deisel works in a pinch.
Oil co told me last week my tank was rusting and they wouldn't deliver to me anymore. It was a tiny rust spot with a booger sized drip of crusted oil that was visible.
Now we are converting to gas since a new oil tank would be up to 5g.

Reply to Is Fair Haven really that bad? by EscapeFromTexas
i lived on front street for 9 years and it was great but some shady stuff goes on at night. Moved to north haven and it is much quieter and safer but when i was younger fair haven was great and we regularly rode our bikes to downtown etc. Overall good community. Houses on front street are old "oyster" houses that are generally small and poorly constructed.

Reply to i might be visiting new haven in two weeks for to see a friend. i also like collecting rocks and i hope the change in environment would allow me to see new rock types. is there anything in terms of rock hounding opportunities and collecting rocks that exist here? by Exotic_Park_436
at Sleeping Giant at the back entrance (take a right after wentworths ice cream shop and park) you can follow the path and get to a sweet rock quarry area that forms the back of the giant's head. I dont know what it has for gems but the sight is impressive and its a nice hike!
