I too support holding children accountable for the repercussions of their actions while holding blameless the teachers and administrators who have a duty of care.

Want to know how it came about? Gary Marshal asked his 7 year old kid if he was still watching Happy Days. The kid said no and he asked why. The kid said there was no space stuff in it and he liked space stuff. The kid suggested Richie have a dream about space men.
And Mork was born

I have a friend whose family wasn't so lucky. His mother as a child lived in Vienna with her siblings and parents. They made it as far as Spain before all but his mother were sent back.
His mother was able to make it to the U.S. none of her family survived.

Schools. Schools are by far the largest expense that hits local taxes, often 50+%.
Merging or having shared service agreements for police and fire is nice but unless and until people are willing to have large shared school district with 4 or more municipalities taxes will never go down.
