I was going to say I avoid Manuel Antonio like the plague. It’s like the Jersey shore.

Reply to How to fix a leaning brick column? by Noonien
Well I assume that the hill is subsiding and slowly taking the column with it. I am sure the weight doesn’t help. I’d sort out the hill first in terms of drainage and perhaps a retaining wall. That is all pretty DIY. I think the right answer for righting the column is the folks that inject mud underneath. That will be pricey. If you are able to stabilize the hill and the column isn’t so bad as it is now, there may be less drastic things you could do to level the gate and or slightly right the column.

Banks want the benefits of crypto (speed, verification, etc.) but reliant on the banking industry to back it. Fed wants traceable currency. No one wants borderless currency. No one wants heavy compute overhead.

Have you been on the internet? If you are clueless and clicking on anything that pops up, you will find porn.

Man, when my dad became older and housebound he was really lonely. So I helped him get connected to and understand the internet with very basic tools (webtv?). It was great for a while as he got on email, and news sites, and YouTube , etc. And then he discovered all the dark sides of the internet: porn, scams, conspiracy theories, etc. But had no natural defense mechanisms and got taken in by everyone one of them.

Reply to How to account for small hearth height difference when laying floating wooden floor? by MotionBlyr
I have lived in a ton of very old houses. In some the Hearth was higher than the floor (by a small amount, but sometimes by up to several inches), and I have been in houses where the hearth was a little bit lower than the flooring and there was just transition molding going from floorboard to hearth (which actually helps contain cinders). Its part of the character of older houses. I'd not worry about it.
