Strong third! I have always felt uncomfortable getting my hair cut and now that I've discovered Rat's Nest, I look forward to it! They are absolutely inclusive, super nice, and can definitely give you pointers if you are not sure what you want to do with your hair. Jenna cuts my hair, and Carissa owns the place and is also fantastic. I don't know the other stylists, but I'm sure they are equally talented and cool.

Not the person you were responding to but you definitely don't need to spend Canada goose kind of money to get a decent coat (some of them run into the thousands of dollars). That said, down coats, esp ones that cover your butt/ upper legs are a god send when it gets below 30F. LL Bean has a lot of good options, or something like Eddie Bauer/Patagonia.

Ralph's has similar vibe to the silhouette but there's not a lot of dancing, unless you go to a show (I think they also have random DJ nights but I find them pretty cringe so I stay downstairs). You'll see folks of all ages although it's honestly mostly Gen Z and Millennials. My aging Millennial friends and I feel very at home there.

If you don't mind driving, the Assabet River Rail Trail is almost exactly 5 miles from end to end, you can park your car in Marlborough or at the East Hudson trail head and run out and back to your car. There's one spot where the trail disappears and you have to run on the sidewalk for a bit, but that's about it. If you don't want to do an out and back, there's plenty of sidewalk infrastructure around the trail, especially thru Hudson, if you want to branch off the trail.
