Nope, that's not at all what that's about. It's literally a software lock only put in to prevent replacing broken parts. NOTHING to do with device security.

2m would be a very low ceiling. Most places where I live require 8' at a minimum to be in code.

The uplifting part is that this is happening regularly now when it didn't before.
