MA has better schools, hospitals and in general, is more progressive. That isn't to say that NH is BAD but I think MA would be a better fit. Also as far as snow goes there are definitely areas closer to Boston that on average get less snow and take care of the roads better than NH. All that being said, Southern NH is probably where you want to look.

NH doesn't have sales tax and a single tax rate for businesses so if we want to truly take advantage of the money generated by legalization it should be sold by the state in my opinion. I would rather wait and have it sold in the state stores and have more revenue for schools, roads, and social programs.

That said, with all of our neighbors legalizing it I see no reason why they couldn't make it legal to use recreationally with a stipulation in the law to revisit the sale and growing question when it becomes legal federally.

Because it is still illegal federally. If they passed a law to sell it in liquor stores the state would be making an employee break federal law.

I believe (and I'm willing to admit I may be wrong) that it has to do with voting trends and polling. The 15% that has been counted were probably enough cities and towns considered battlegrounds that once Sununu won those areas that the rest of the state would follow certain trends that statistically meant he won. AP doesn't crown the winner, the state does, they just felt comfortable enough in their projections with the reported votes to call it. It's no different than in MA, AP called Healy the winner as soon as the polls closed.
