LCD-2C owner here, same issue less than a year after purchase. Let me know if contacting Audeze yields any results, as I was intending to just buy a new pair of pads, but if they can help out, I'd rather go that route (originals pads ain't cheap).

I have the new ones! Don't get me wrong, they're great and I'm really happy with how they sound. I was just wondering if the leather ones are known to improve the sound in any way.

Can confirm, been daily driving LCD-2Cs since April. My neck is Corey Taylor levels of strength. Using any other headphones feels like I have nothing on my head.

Get it and then EQ it. I got my pair back in April and I've been daily driving them and they still amaze me every day.

I'm from Eastern Europe, so I think the shipping costs to the US + wait time wouldn't be worth it. New pads it is, I guess. :(
