This sounds like classic 'we have finally invented the Nexus of Torment' energy.

Reply to Is there any difference between water boiled in a pot in the stove, in an electric kettle, or in the microwave? by strangecargo
Some particles do get in, which is why copper pots are popular. This has links to the copper benefits that's backed by science: https://www.scmp.com/lifestyle/health-wellness/article/3185935/why-you-should-drink-water-stored-copper-jug-or-pot
But comparing stove boiling versus electric kettle or microwave ... Could you taste the difference? I certainly can't, unless the microwave was odourful.

I did miss one thing though. Superhabitable planets or Earth like planets would obviously be far easier to adjust to human needs. Kepler 1126b is the best IIRC.
But that becomes a question of reaching it and time taken.

There really isn't any. The amount of work involved to terraform, and time, would vastly overshadow what it would take to repair the Earth.
Plus it's mostly theoretical and untested, whereas in the case of Earth its mostly a matter of stopping pollution.
No, it's pretty much wish fulfillment at the moment.

Reply to ELI5: For people who believe in reincarnation, if it is real then why does the human population keep increasing? by [deleted]
Quality. In the Iron Age, which we have just exited but its not yet the next Golden Age, the quality of rhe human soul is poorer.
Also, reincarnation takes into account animals, extra terrestrials and other dimensional beings.
The conservation of souls is not one to one.

Who's going to hold them accountable?
People holding the accountable = revolution.
The courts and the police? Paid for by the politicians and the wealthy.

Reply to ELI5 How would defunding the police (US) help combat police brutality? by owiesss
When there's a move to defend the police, there's also an understanding that the internal culture and workings of the police are corrupt.
Given how the police protect its membership, how can we guarantee that money given to them will actually go to retraining and better standards of service? Do you contract a new teaching force, and a new internal investigations group to ensure compliance with the new framework?
That would be super adversarial, and I suspect rather dangerous.
In addition, sometimes cops as they are now are just the wrong tool. A mental health worker is actually more useful in many cases rather than a police officer.
Easier to defund and rebuild.
