You’re going to get less matches than when you were 22, but the matches you do get will be more serious.

This. But like you said, the matches she gets now at 27 will likely be more serious than those of a 22 year old.

I've only lived in the area since late 2017 so take that as you will, but the only difference I've noticed was the closure of classic DC spots (18th st lounge, Marvin, etc). The nightlife doesn't feel as vibrant as it was pre-pandemic (but then again it's also winter time). But I never feel completely unsafe in DC. Just use your common sense and exercise any caution you would use in any major city.

-Largely a progressive city -Museums -Not super big and sprawled out (I never feel overwhelmed driving through DC) -Job opportunities in the metro area -Nice metro system (I grew up in a city with no metro, so I appreciate it) -Walkability -Native DC culture is cool -Love the architecture (townhouses, federal buildings, monuments) -Nightlife can be great at times -Highly educated city/metro area
