Tech will eventually reach a point were all material attributes of who we are will be fluid. The only thing that is eternal is that which is inside your mind, having experiences of the world. When you look inside and find the one that it’s looking, what do you see? Is it human? Does it have gender? A race? This singular point of consciousness is who you are and it is beyond any worldly classification. What transhumanisn ultimately wants to achieve is to to liberate the light from it’s flashy prison. To allow the mind to manifest unrestricted into the world of matter. It’s not as much that we will be able to chose whether we are men or women, but that we will be able to flow through the body of either men or a women.
