You order two steaks, one bleu, one well done. And a triple martini served in a pint glass. When you’re served the steaks you throw the well done one on the floor with flourish and and you declare - “eetz for ze dogs!!” And then you slake your thirst with a pinky raised, of course, and finish your martini in one gulp. Slam it to the table and again declare “another!” It’s called a power move, look it up.

DC is an awesome city, and you would be hard pressed not to love it. The DC subbreddit is full of entitled complainers, trolls and gatekeepers and doesn't represent DC at all. I have a feeling there is an effort to shit on DC by outsiders, but that's just a feeling I get from reading posts here.

Spilled Milk Catering. They serve the area and are absolutely fantastic. They catered 2 events for me, and they were top notch, even working with me on a last-second event and worked with me to create a menu I liked, with their own suggestions and matching my requests.

Try going to a different DMV and talking to a different person. I've rarely had a consistent experience when it comes to DMV staffers. It's a pain but it's worth a shot.

Likely an algorithm that calculates expected percentages, based on past ridership. They know that a percentage of riders entering the station go in a certain direction or train. Or maybe even easier, the train conductor communicates that there are lot of people on the train.

There's a machine that takes your money at the entrance and counts how many people enter a station.

Pay it so you don’t embarrass yourself any further with this absolute dogshit excuse. You’re mom might accept your weaseling out of responsibility with the blame everything-else tactic but the courts will either have a huge laugh and make you pay, or excoriate you in front of a room of people and make you pay. Either way, just pay and learn to stop 2 feet sooner and stop blaming the blinking lights for your inability to control your vehicle.

You make the mistake of confusing “recent, temporary dc” for old dc. You have no fucking clue what old dc was if your version is a happy carefree city for you to happily skip around at any hour of the night.
