Reply to Does anyone else feel like rock and hiphop have reached their creative conclusion? by [deleted]
Oh hell no.
There's an entire new world of indie rock bands, postrock bands, and genre bending going on.
For example, if you want to listen to rap that's genuinely innovative, try listening to clipping. Two albums to look for are Splendour & Misery and Visions of Bodies Being Burned.
HEALTH also does some collaborations with rap artists. Here, I'm thinking of the song Judgement Night and Gnostic Flesh / Mortal Hell. Backxwash is one of the guest rappers on that latter track, and her albums are genuinely innovative too. God Has Nothing To Do With This, and Bury Me with My Rings and Dresses are like African roots (like Mali? Dunno where she's from) rap with heavy musical influences of 90s black metal bands, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath and other metal genre.
There's always tons of genre pushing artists out there. Like when there were emo rappers all of a sudden.
Rock as a monolithic style seems to be gone though, I agree with you there. Alternative, indie, emo, punk, metal, and even ska seem to have blended together seamlessly into some new music. The good news is that it's fresh, and a lot of it's good.

Continuously operating since 1870, the ExxonMobilTesla family has been increasing shareholder value for our investors throughout the Milky Way and neighboring galaxies for centuries.
Our operations combine exploration, innovation, and profitability with a respect for all forms of life capable of protesting in languages we understand and in a manner that our shareholders care about.

I think it depends on the particulars of the externalities of the mining in question. How polluting would it be, and where would that pollution end up? Are there indigenous life forms that might be damaged?
Otherwise, I say yes.

Thank you for this recommendation. I haven't thought about Millennium in a very long time. A friend of mine tried to get me into it, but I never did. I think I am going to give this show another chance, and I'll definitely check out the s2 Halloween special.

HEY!
Remember how they used to call Connecticut "The Nutmeg State"? I have an idea for a new name to bring the state renewed social media clout.
