Seven Days wrote a good story about the couple and how the location came to be a few years ago. They still do a good truck for some events in the area, but cash only.

They might be ready if they don't need to ask the bank.

I was seeing speeds around 75/20 when I cancelled starlink in August. Sometimes it would go up to maybe 120/20, but it depended on the time of day. For some unknown reason it would also drop out for a couple of minutes around 2pm each day, We get 40/20 from TMobile, it's more consistent and a lot cheaper.

It does, and I think only in areas serviced by 5G. TMobile is the same, though it works fine on 4G if you can convince the sales to give you the modem.

Starlink is $110 and with the current over-subscriptions, their rate has fallen to something around 65/15. 250/250 is still a much better deal.

A few companies are deploying 150 kW now, and 350 kW stations are coming, but Tesla's 250 kW stations are still years ahead in terms of count and speed.

How are you not finding Tesla chargers? If you use the phone app, the website or the in-car app, you'll see several super chargers. There are 2 in the Burlington area, one in Montpilier, one in Rutland, one in St Johnsbury, one in Battleboro, and probably others. If you settle for level 2, you'll find many more.
Do you have the CCS adapter? There are a few non-tesla DC chargers at tourist areas, like Ben & Jerry's HQ and Alchemist Brewery, and probably others closer to your destination.
Coming from NJ, the Battleboro supercharger is probably the closest to your destination. Top off there, then use level 2 destination chargers when you can find them. Worst case, plug in to a regular outlet overnight, you'll still get ~4 miles of range per hour.

I cancelled the service. I'm considering selling the hardware, but haven't done so yet.

My house in Morristown is not in their 5G map, but I was able to call them and convince them that 4G was good enough. I get 40/20 most days, sometimes a little faster. We had starlink, but TMobile is more stable, and half the price.

Elmore mountain is a good 2-3 hour hike. The top had a fire tower you can climb to get a good view.
Hunger Mountain is closer to you, but might be a bit too much if you're under prepared

We went on a bike ride on Saturday on the west side of Mt Mansfield, the roads between Cambridge & Underhill were quiet & gorgeous.
