More or less, I'm used it.
Considering the 15s are rumoured to have this on all models. Yes, I think it'll stick at least for now. But I'm basing that off said rumours.
As for app utilization, 16.1 just came out and that opened the door for devs to take more advantage of the DI so it'll be used a lot more than just stock app as it was in 16.0
