As a NYer, I never give money to anyone in the streets/sidewalks/ traffic lights or whatever. I always just assume it's a scam. If people are trusting / want to give others their money, they have a right to.

There's a big dog leaving massive turds in my neighborhood & I haven't been able to pinpoint who it is. It's super frustrating, and must be a huge dog judging by the size of them. I'll never understand why people think it's ok to leave poop especially when it's such a large quantity.

So I take my dogs to a "regular" vet for their checkups but take them to Vetco for vaccines which is much cheaper. They are also able to do the yearly heartworm test which you'll need for the Rx heartworm meds. Vetco is a mobile vaccine clinic and they make stops at local Petco stores. They allow for online scheduling now (they didn't used to and it was a mess). You can also ask your vet for written Rxs for any meds and get them filled elsewhere/ online- usually the vets charge more for the same meds.

I know they've been mentioned but Black Flag, Hysteria, Frisco, Columbia Ale house, Victoria Gastro Pub for beer. Although the have a smaller beer menu Grotto Pizza does have local beers on tap. Also, White Oak Tavern in Elliott City.

If you're open to cocktails, Lost Ark Distillery is in the same strip as Hysteria and has great cocktails. (They also do tours).
