July can be hot, humid and buggy but August is usually the best month of the year! It’s also the month when the crops begin coming off the fields. Nothing better than farm fresh Manitoba produce!

This was taken at an ice cream shop in Miami Manitoba!

Fun fact: according to one of the folks in the photo you could take your own fruit and berries along to the shop, and they would mix them in to the ice cream for you!

The adorable redhead with braids top row, fourth from the right is a friend of mine. Her daughter is the child in the front row. Here is a sweet note she posted with the pic: "I was a really lucky kid. All these folks were endlessly patient and loving...[they] were kind and fun "aunts and uncles" who had a really positive impact on my life."
