Reply to LPT Request: Do you know of any co-housing/living spaces designed for people working on self-improvement? I feel like it would be huge for my growth. by OnlyDaikon5492
Short of finding like minded people and creating your own. I would say look online. There are plenty of self improvement groups, for just about every niche. A strong and good online community can be good for being held accountability.
Would be cool if there were housing program like that, just unaware of any (minus like rehab facilities, mental Heath facilities)

Most people when sick Cant “breathe properly”
Do you go to the hospital every time you catch a cold?
As I clearly said in a comment on here, if her breathing is rapid and shallow go to the hospital. If it’s just harder than usual, especially factoring in the obesity it’s not a life threatening issue. Just an annoying one.
If she gets the cough under control which is easy to do with otc products, her breathing will get easier. If it doesn’t then yes I agree go to the doctor.
Most people don’t have thousands to throw at the er because they are uncomfortable.

Meh most of my obese friends have breathing difficulties when sick, not necessarily as bad as it seems/feels.
Plus going to the hospital is expensive. I think most people avoid it unless 100% needed

Lots of info missing
Right off the bat I would say get her a cough suppressant/ NyQuil to help with symptoms
Obesity makes breathing harder ESPECIALLY when sick, so just because she’s having trouble doesn’t mean it’s life threatening. Still it sucks, and it’s hard to watch.
If she’s lying in bed make sure her head is elevated(helps with breathing) Continue to monitor breathing. If it gets very shallow and wheezy go to the doctor IMMEDIATELY.
If she has asthma and has an inhaler 100% use it. Will open the lungs up. Either way, make sure she remains calm and keeps breathing as deeply and as controlled as possible. Panic makes it much worse, so keep it light with her.
- Get cough under control
- Monitor breathing
- Take some vitamin C supplements (I recommend airborne) to potentially help you not get sick/ help your bodies fight it off.
- If it gets worse go into the doctor
- If you have some covid tests use them. Obesity is a comorbidity and makes covid more likely to do serious damage.
Really hope she feels better and you don’t get sick op.

Reply to LPT: When debating or arguing with someone and it’s going nowhere, ask them, “What evidence would it take for you to consider that you’re wrong?” If they say “Nothing,” then it’s time to end the conversation. by blowfishmo
Here’s the issue with that, we live in the internet era, If you look hard enough you can find “evidence” for just about anything
