The best thing to do is pull over when you see a line of cars behind you. Drive appropriately for your experience, your car, and the conditions, but pull off into a gas station or onto a side street to let the others pass.

Reply to Winter heating cost survey: Last month how much do you pay, what source, how much space, and what temp? by Ok_Slice_2952
$0, natural gas. Renting has perks. We’ve been trying to buy a house for 2 years now and our consolation prize is that heat is included in our rent so we don’t have to deal with the prices. I had a house about 4 years ago and spent over $300 one very cold February that year.

I can always find a place to pull over. I mean, if you had flashing blue lights behind you, wouldn’t you find a way? You can also put on your hazards and just tuck off to the side.
