No need to have anybody corroborate it. I wasn't being facetious when I said she described it like a game of whack-a-mole. That's exactly what she said. It's on video.

This is a bit outside of my knowledgebase, but my understanding is that the AG doesn't operate under the Mayor or the Council, so it doesn't really matter what Nadeau's feelings are on this. The AG can do what they want. The MPD, the Mayor, the Council, they could all be pissed off about the offenders being put right back onto the street and the AG can continue on with their lax sentencing because they don't report to any of them.

Why would the AG do this? I'd gather it has to do with their Restorative Justice program and a long-term plan of rehabilitating the youth in lieu of putting them behind bars.

What is this subreddit bad choices, good stories? What bad choice did this person make? Their story is that they ran from the cops and got shot in the back 3 times while out protesting with MLK Jr. Some people's minds are just all sorts of f'd up if they're putting the blame on this person for getting shot in the back 3 times.

Its blatant pettiness on the part of the republicans. This video makes it sound like Mayor Bowser having access to the House floor is incredibly vital, but I don't recall Mayor Bowser ever being on the House Floor. I think the bigger deal here is the level of pettiness on display. These are our lawmakers and if they're willing to block somebody from the House floor who as far as I can tell has never been on the House floor, what other stupid petty things are they going to do.

I'm open to being convinced otherwise, but when crimes like a motor vehicle theft where the owner of the vehicle gets run over and killed in the process, is filed as property theft, not a violent crime, I'm not sure I believe these numbers. Maybe my understanding of some of these criminology terms is off, but some of these crimes and how they are filed doesn't pass the smell test for me.

"We added estimated crowding info in 21 stations with our newest Next Train signs. Shown next to the car length, this info is based on previous trends of each train at a particular stop to determine if you get a seat, need to spread out, or wait!"

What is the source of the trend data?

Edit:

kevin_from_illinois mentioned above that "Google Maps has been showing it for a while. I suspect it is based on localization data from smartphones."

Bikeshare bikes don't chirp. Anyways, I've seen people spend a good amount of time just trying to rip one of these bikes out of the docking stations and when they do, they get a free bike. At least this asshole painted it and attempted to conceal that it's a stolen bike. There are quite a few of these around town that are unpainted and stolen. People who check these bikes out have to put their credit card on file and will supposedly get charged a hefty fine if they don't check it back in, but if somebody who didn't check it out gets their hands on one of them they can keep it as their own with zero repercussions and they know it.
