It's because we like to listen to asmr while we're playing gigs.

I wonder how much digitally stored music has frequencies over 20k. It seems like a total waste of storage space.

I use a Qudelix for a DAC and EQ on that. Equaliser APO is supposed to be good, but I never managed to get it to work.

As far as my ears can tell yea, they're identical. I just tested by plugging and unplugging with my phone and aside from deafening myself because I went the wrong way while I was trying to volume match, I couldn't tell the difference.
Tested using Qobuz playing at 24-Bit, 44.1kHz with Moondrop Blessing 2 on the 2.5mm balanced connection.

I cancelled my order for the BTR7 and got a Qudelix, I have 0 regrets. Its just easy and convenient, also much cheaper.

I like my Buds2 Pro, and I just sent back some Blessing 2s, so I guess I'm the reverse of you.
The thing to remember is ANC might not be better than passive noise cancellation, and unfortunately, you have to pick one or the other most of the time. For me, the convenience of the buds is its own thing. They're tiny in their case and quick to get in and out. Wired IEMs take a minute to set up and typically have quite large cases.

Reply to Ok, who here actually LIKES touch controls on earbuds? imo they're one of the most annoying things ever, cause I'll be trying to pull out a bud, for example, and then the darn thing starts skipping through music. by [deleted]
Occasionally, I accidentally pause, but they're the best way to have controls.
The other options would be using your phone, which means pulling out your phone every time you want to pause (and some earbuds support turning off touch controls) or a remote, which I feel like most people would lose.
