Hyperbole, right? But my 2 kids have a sibling, then they grew up and got married and had kids, so a family dinner around here is awesome, but watching a movie gets a little crowded. 🤣

I mean, you can only crowd so many people around a 18" screen.

Reply to LPT: To speed up self checkout at the grocery store, use the hand scanner and bag your items in the carriage. by Distinct-Ad5751
My store, Meijer, has a scan-n-go option on their app. I use my phone to scan items in the aisles, put them straight into my bags, and when I check out, my phone links to the register with a qr code to bring up my items and let me pay. Generally, the cashier has to come over to scan 5-7 random items to make sure I'm honest, then I tap my card and I'm on my way. I don't have to unload and reload my carriage at check-out. I drive farther to get to this store and it's the only reason I shop there instead of the newer, bigger, better Kroger closer to my home.

Reply to LPT Request: What tips would you give to a 18 yo who is going away from his parents, to another city, for college, for the first time in his life? by somelittleindiankid
Go to class and do the work. Yes, you should make new friends, go to parties, and have fun, but your main job is school. It's too easy to get caught up in the freedom of living on your own, but if you flunk out, you're back home, your parents are mad, and you've wasted a ton of money.

Reply to LPT: if you make you kids walk on the walkways on Halloween, instead of cutting across the yard, you’ll drastically reduce the amount of candy they bring home. The reverse is true as well. by jennarenn
I my neighborhood, we sit at the end of the driveways to pass out candies.
