It caught me off guard also. I put it further north.

How do you get from Springfield to Enfield without going through Longmeadow?

Others here say you are on the Connecticut border.

No. More like some being fuzzy over something that is fact. Either it is or it isn’t. It’s not a gray area. Facts are not pedantic. It’s like saying that you live on the border of Massachusetts and Maine.

I checked maps and a see the point. But Springfield is also geographically large. And the Mass Turnpike goes through it and people think it is horizontal across the state. It’s not. It goes southwest across the state, but still appears somewhat horizontal. I think it is an optical illusion that fooled me.

Close is not bordering. It’s like being a little bit pregnant or partially dead.

I see the point. Springfield is on the Mass Turnpike, which appears to cross the state horizontally. It’s actually going southwest. And it’s geographically large. But it doesn’t border Connecticut as someone else said.

Metro regions are not physical towns. It is a combination of cities and towns. The comment was about the town of Springfield only.

Springfield does not share a border with Connecticut.

Or driving on Tremont where even more will see it.

If you get the right connections and price, always take an airport other than Logan. And Sumner tunnel closing for the summer is going to make traffic worse.

I remember people in Boston shoveling a space and parking cars perpendicular to the curb.

They are kidding. Don’t. It’s illegal to dump snow on the harbor.

Walk. Or take commuter rail to Porter Square Cambridge, switch to the Red Line, take that to Washington, switch to commuter rail to South Station. MA has a Hub and Spoke system. But nothing connects the spokes. And there are actually Two Unconnected Hubs that should have been connected when built. And then should have been connected during the Big Dig when the highway was relocated underground.

Many people drive with just the Daytime Running Lights, not realizing that they are not automatic lights and that there are no lights on the back. Also, newer LED lights are very bright.

It should be a closed loop system, like the Interstate Highway system. Connect all those ends.

I drive people to the airport for a job. Anytime these celebrities come in it causes a nightmare so I would look at the time schedule of when they are moving around and do your best to work around that some people will get a room in one of the airport hotels, Hilton Hyatt and Embassy suites, and then just shuttle over in the morning for a flight. But that’s a pretty expensive option.

Incorrect. Kamala Harris came in a few weeks ago to go to Roxbury. They shut down Rte 93 from the the Zakim Bridge to South Bay for hours. Traffic to the airport was a nightmare. They closed at the Zakim so that if someone detonated a bomb under Causeway St, I couldn’t get her. JFK library is close to 93. That road will be shut down for hours. Better to take 95/128 north to Weston and take the Pike to airport. Or go in through Revere.

Yes. Optical illusion. People think is a straight East/West highway. There is a cool video on YouTube about the creation of the highway and why is was built where it is. If crosses the least number of rivers, goes around the most number of hills and saved the most number of buildings possible.
