A for-profit business selling merchandise that was indirectly donated in the first place, and they're too cheap to factor in transaction fees? Pretty lame for the customers who have to deal with credit card fees. The website actually touts "ATM in store for your convenience" as a "feature".

I don't really go to Red White and Blue because of the cash only thing. It's not like their registers are too out dated to have a credit card feature. And they've got an ATM in the store that is happy to charge you a service fee.

Just wanted to mention that UPMC is the best health insurance I've ever had.

I saw a bunch of Bay trees in DC last week; are Bay trees less common in Pittsburgh? Doesn't get any fresher than off the tree.

Any idea what stores those might be? All I'm finding is that GE employees are represented by UFCW (there is some sort of story about it in the non-union Post-Gazette paper: https://www.post-gazette.com/business/career-workplace/2021/07/26/Giant-Eagle-UFCW-Local-1776-ratify-new-four-year-contract/stories/202107260085It's easy to nitpick Giant Eagle, but I'm not trying to race to the Walton's bottom line.
