Yes, it does. If you've ever seen the intro to a match on BattleBots, you can see how large these bots actually are at the pinnacle of competition. Last I checked the size limit was something like "it needs to fit with an 8 by 8 foot square" which is very large.
Most bots seem to be between 1-2 feet tall and 2-3 feet square.
Also, most of them pack extremely thick steel armor. Many carry drum or spinning blade weapons that weigh in at over 50 pounds.
