Reply to Best water filter pitcher? by pretendtotime
We have a pur to filter out the obscene amount of chlorine in our water. It works for that purpose, we bought the heavy duty lead filters. Our tap water is undrinkable, makes me gag.

Reply to This is one of my Pendleton wool blankets. Any idea if this is fixable? Where/who might I look for locally to fix it? I just don’t want it to get worse. by lukeman3000
Blanket stitch is very easy to do and easy to learn and sturdy. Heck, it’s great on blankets! If you’re going to own BIFL things then mending is a great skill to learn. This is a really easy one to start with!

Reply to Space Heater Recommendations? by Stardate8675903
We have no furnace and live in the cold northlands of the US. We supplement our wood stove with oil filled heaters by delonghi and they are fantastic. (Yes, expensive to run heaters but our furnace is kaput so — cheaper than any other option we currently have)

Contact a breed rescue if you don’t have luck with the shelters, but a cute puppy is in high demand I’m sure!
