Depends what console your friends play on. PS5 is my choice. It’s truly Next Generation. More bang for your buck go Series X. Cheaper games and better specs but the specs can’t tell the difference much. pS5 has the better ssd. Loading times quicker.

PS5 way better than Series X and I’m not talking specs. More immersive,better games and just a better Next Generation feel overall.

The only way a console is more expensive is when you decide to upgrade the console the next year or two because something new came out. In the long run yes a pc is cheaper. Just not right away. The cost of a GPU is still a mortgage payment if not more.

He doesn’t need to go out for a replacement 2.1 HDMI. The series x includes one and there is nothing wrong with it. It’s his tv settings and what his settings are in the Xbox for video output.

I have both. It’s worth it. Lately though I’ve been on my PS5 more. I liked the fact I didn’t have to buy a headset for the PS5 to where the Series X I needed to. Plus I enjoyed the fact that PS5 had a usb c port.
