I would absolutley love a north Jersey drive in. I make the hour drive to Warwick and the 1.5 hour drive to the Circle or Mahoning drive ins in PA at least twice a month in the summer. I LOVE going to the drive in. It largely depends on the programming though, I especially love the stuff they show at Mahoning and how you can camp overnight. I feel like I'm an outlier though.

Work has been slow for me lately and I really need the money. Can't afford to take the day off. I work in live theater so there's no such thing as work from home.

More gyms! Also would love an indie movie theater or at least something that plays different stuff than the big chains. Like, an Alamo Drafthouse would be great.

I'm well aware, but figured it might be the best shot at reuniting them.

I did a "fun run" years ago that went through the tunnel. It was closed to traffic only about an hour before we were scheduled to go through. It wasn't smoggy or smelly at all, the ventilation system is remarkable.

You need to find hobbies or interests you can meet people through. Being attractive and rich is not really a personality or a way to meet people. Join a sport, a club, volunteer work, etc.

Reply to How to make the bus stop by toastmaven
You should stand where the driver can see you and wave. There are multiple bus lines that people wait for, and some people use a bench or shelter to just sit, and they're not going to stop to find out if those in the shelter are potential passengers or not. So you need to make it clear to the driver that you would like to get on this bus.

Nobody hates you for that. But we are trying to explain to you that you need to have more than good looks to make friends and build meaningful relationships.

I'm fine with it. I'm glad I grew up ugly because it forced me to be funny and smart because I couldn't get by on looks alone.

I'm super weird looking and I have tons of friends. Sounds like you need to work on your personality.

Not really. Certain wider roads that run longer stretches are designated as emergency roads so fire trucks, ambulances, etc. can get through at top speed. These roads can't have speed bumps.

They can't put speed bumps on Baldwin because it's an emergency road.

I've been in touch with Boggiano's office since March about safety issues on Baldwin. Over the summer I was told something would be done at my intersection "by the end of August". It hasn't happened yet and they stopped answering my emails, I haven't heard anything since September 8th. Bunch of clowns.

I agree, it is premature! You have so much here to discover! Jersey City is a great place to live and there is so much to do in the area. I hope you will give it a shot.

Have you tried engaging with the community or your hobbies at all? It's always scary to move somewhere new, especially if your expectations weren't met. And to be fair, Journal Square can be a little boring. But try some restaurants, go to hobby meet ups, check out the neighborhood, and you are still VERY close to Manhattan and can head there for fun too. You also might want to see if you can find a private parking spot for rent to take some of that pressure off (street parking here is extremely stressful!).

They also asked me for that, my building doesn't use that sort of system. It's an old building with just an intercom and buzzers.
