What’s wrong with Clint Eastwood? The guy is a legend.

I would very much oppose losing it.

Five Mile Creek, a terrific Australian gold rush frontier show from ABC from the ‘80s that Disney owns. It was Nicole Kidman’s acting debut I believe.

I adored him in Hornblower as Lt. Bush.

As a huge TAR fan, thank goodness. Love Boat was a killer.

You should read this: https://the-end-of-summer.blogspot.com/2012/02/before-play-prequel-to-shining.html
It’s the prequel narrative to The Shining which King cut from the initial draft. It’s mostly about the backstory to the Overlook but there is one part that is about “Jacky” Torrance at Danny’s age and his horrible relationship with his abusive father. It adds more interesting and visceral look at the idea of abusive parental relationships to the book.

Actually, according to the very last line of The Devil and Daniel Webster: “But they say that whenever the devil comes near Marshfield, even now, he gives it a wide berth. And he hasn't been seen in the state of New Hampshire from that day to this. I'm not talking about Massachusetts or Vermont.”
So while he was present in the state for the trial in question after Daniel Webster kicked his butt he stays far far away.
It’s a great short story, I recommend it to all.

Wow. Could not disagree more. The man has made some many good and wildly varied movies (and a few stinkers, sure), and he has a ton of charisma.
And watching behind the scenes interviews and footage of him it’s clear he makes movies because he loves stories and storytelling. He’s trying to tell standard tales; at no time have I seen anything indicating he thinks he’s a pathfinder or revolutionary.
