I still think Achtung Baby is a flawless record.

The rest I can take or leave, but there's some utter magic on that. Even though it's their biggest record, I reckon it's well deserved.

That’s up to you. Personally, music’s a never ending journey. I’m 43 and I just keep digging. There’s stuff I listened to when I was a teenager that bores me to tears now. Although there are some favourites from around that time too.

Jazz:

I really like Promises by Pharoah Sanders with Floating Points and the LSO. Absolute cracker of an album.

Kamasi Washington - The Epic

Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain

Punk/Metal:

anything Mike Patton’s on at the moment is great - he’s on a thrash crossover tip. Particularly the Dead Cross II record, but also The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demos by Mr Bungle.

And, if you feel so inclined, give my punk band’s “amazing” debut a spin. Sex Dad’s Greatest Hits.

We’re… er… in development…

Old stuff:

Lift to Experience - The Texas/Jerusalem Crossroads. I always recommend this as I think it’s a criminally underrated masterpiece. 20 years old now.

Uncategorisable:

Black Midi are basically the new Captain Beefheart and Hellfire is just incredible.
