I imagine that AI becomes a part of daily life similar to the internet and maybe even as important to the future modern world as electricity. Try to imagine life without electricity.

Politics, economics, culture, art, music, everything will all be affected by AI in some way. There will be those who will hate the changes but most people will not want to go back to a life before AI once their lives are impacted by it.

Old institutions will struggle to adapt. People will try to protect their jobs. Some people might use AI maliciously, governments will try to regulate and that might delay the singularity. Who knows really?

Well we already see today that as soon as one type of AI became popular a bunch of copycats or similars popped up. Like Midjourney and all the other image AI's.

We saw with Siri led to Alexa, Cortana, Bigsby and Google Assistant. I don't see why an AGI would be any different.
