Truthfully I just said "designer drugs" because few people have heard of research-chemicals. They're a mixed bag but for anyone interested in psychedelics, a reputable online vendor is vastly safer than street drugs.
In this case I was irresponsible but at least it was my choice; LSD bought on the street is often underdosed but can have hot-spots, plus you run the risk of buying really dangerous substitutes like n-bome which can literally kill you. A grey-market tab of AL-LAD will be dosed with exactly 150ug, the vendors are ethically neutral but live or die by their reputation online. (For anyone reading please don't ask me for sources, it's very much against Reddit's rules.)

Reply to TIL about foreign accent syndrome. This is a very rare (~100 cases worldwide) but real medical condition where people abruptly begin speaking in a foreign accent following head trauma like a bad migraine, accident, or stroke. by veety
Once I worked with this guy and couldn't place his accent, kind of Irish or Eastern Canadian but not exactly either. I asked where he was from and he said "Oh I've always lived here."
"I don't understand, what's the accent?"
"Well I had a concussion and it affected me speech." Awkward.

Oh man, I love it when the shrooms kick in. Seriously though that's gorgeous, I wish I could explain why I like it so much.

My brother and I used to ride in the upper sleeping area of the camper, above the cab of the truck, "Cliff Burton-style" and we didn't complain. Kids today.

He didn't even care about that. He was investigated on suspicion of being involved with the crime, lied during questioning, then bragged about beating the polygraph. Of course, he beat the polygraph because he's a sociopath.

"How about a human, but faster and stronger?"
"BRILLIANT!"
Even worse was when they started adding powers. Like, this one time Superman flew really fast, around the planet, counterclockwise (of course) to go back in time. I mean it's one of my earliest memories: "are you fucking kidding me?"

Reply to comment by bolanrox in TIL the "Nokia Tune" was originally composed in 1902 by Spanish guitarist and composer Francisco Tárrega, part of a piece called "Gran Vals" and was the first identifiable mobile phone ring tone by mantolwen
No reason to get all conspiracy-theory here, in those days the Nokia ringtone was everywhere. Dude probably did that a million times before, this time it was during a performance. So what.
