I always enjoyed WWF attitude on PS1. Had super customization for it's time with arenas, entrances, characters, moveset, etc

WWE 2k13 and 14 are great too. Probably the last time they were really great. Could add custom music to entrances with the 360. Removed that feature after that era

I agree with you. I tried it when it released and didn't enjoy it. I then went on to purchase/trade it in 5 or 6 times to give it a solid shot, but it just never did it for me.

It's for that reason I never continued with the franchise.

IMHO, I don't like 14. It falls into the same trap newer MMOs do of holding your hand and making things easier to obtain to make it more inclusive. Plus the combat basically alerts you where to move from to avoid attacks rather than learning mechanics.

If you're into the MMO scene, I'd rather recommend Final Fantasy XI. 20 years worth of content to go through and definitely more enjoyable to play mechanically. Just need to always have wiki open to find your way.

Games have cost a lot more for a while now. Games now are driven by in game purchases and dlc to get the whole experience. In average, if you were to buy a game new, you're probably looking at $120 per game roughly.

The issue I have is that too many games are shipping incomplete and also act as beta's for the first 6 months to a year before getting to a good state. The level of content is small for the value with most games because the money is in multiplayer (which I don't particularly delve into often)

Plus development costs and inflation continue to rise, so it is what it is. It's been $60 for two generations now (360/PS3 & Xbox/PS4). Price increase was inevitable.

It's my escape from the daily grind. For that time, I'm not thinking about the stressors in my life, I'm in another world and enveloped in that character.

Without it, I'd surely suffer from serious depression and stress related illness
