Going to jump on this and say if you have a window in there, point a fan out that window and close the door behind you and you will get almost no dust in the rest of the house.

To piggyback this, I just had to grind down 12 sqft of ruined thinset off of a brand new shower pan and setting up a box fan pointed outside a window and closing the door behind me took care of 99% of the dust leaving the bathroom.
I had to wipe down the bathroom sink and vanity but the negative airflow saved the rest of the house from a LOT of dust.

I just replaced the drop and entry point on a house yesterday where the painters tore it off and clipped it in the ground. Nobody cares until seone notices. Just wait till your installer shows up and if you are lucky you won't get a lazy one and they will run it right.
Your installation appointment is for a full installation of the modem and drop wire to your choice of location, don't do the installers work for them.

I was looking for my own project and it looked like it would be between $100 and $140 if you already owned an angle grinder which is another $50 to $150 depending on the tool brand. Plus a vacuum, another $40-100.
My neighbor did his whole floor with one during his COVID so it is possible to do a lot of work with one of those.
