I've been using the Purple Pillow and I would describe it similarly to how people describe buckwheat. It is made of Purple's uniquely shaped rubbery material. It's pretty thin, but comes with at least one booster. It's pretty firm, but a little softer at the ends. I've been using it for years and it's great, and you don't have to stuff last year's crop into a pillow case!
