Reply to Kennywood by [deleted]

I feel like this is something easy they can go after to make themselves sound tough. How about the DA cleans up the area around Kennywood to help make it safer.

Never been to the one in Perryopolis but I have been to auto auctions before. Check and see if you can look at the cars before the auction stars and get there as early as you can. If you are looking for a deal buy early. A lot of people will be gun-shy about spending money in the beginning of the auction.

I thought it was just alright when I went. It was hot and there was a lot of standing in line. You are basically paying to buy tacos that you could have otherwise bought outside of the festival throughout the city. If you really want to try a bunch of different taco places without having to drive all over the place then it isn’t that bad.

I honestly don’t think so. Working in oil/gas can be pretty brutal and I think a lot of guys just do it to get an easier job with government benefits but it definitely plays into the system.

I myself have looked into government work and some of the job openings will take “industry related” experience in lieu of a degree and then the higher up you go the dirtier it all gets.

Tell him to try one of the colleges like Pitt or Point Park. Sometimes they are looking to hire people specifically to deal with foreign students or ESL (English Second Language) students.

Honestly if you don’t want to live in the city and want to be close to downtown you should look at Bellevue and Avalon. You can go north in the direction of Ross Township or McCandless for shopping, they are minutes from downtown, and about 15-30 from anywhere else in the city provided you are driving in moderate traffic. The houses in these areas also aren’t ungodly expensive.
