It sounds like she’d be risking both her own life and the baby’s if she did carry. Even if the baby made it to term and was born, there’s likely an increased chance of illness or disability. It’s not my place to judge, but I can say that I don’t understand her mindset. It baffles me. It’s also just a lot of trauma to put oneself through.

My takeaway from this is that issues like what you shared with the new manager, should be taken to HR. She’s right in that you should focus on your own work and priorities, but it’s also understandable that the actions of others impact you. Regardless of what their reasons may or may not be. If it becomes a true issue: HR.

Best hope that killing Krampus doesn’t mean you’ll have to BECOME Krampus. I would go ahead and bury him in the most respectful way possible. Find a way to honor his spirit and beg it for forgiveness. God help you if you disrespect his body and soul after killing him. It’s also the safest method if he is resurrected, being supernatural and all.

You might write a letter to Santa explaining the situation, too. Let him know that it was out of caution and in self defense because to you, he was a home invader. No one wants to confess to murder, but again, it’s likely to safest option, here.

From the sound of things… You didn’t just take a piece of it with you. The abyss took a piece of YOU, too. Tranquility comes with a cost; a sacrifice. Is the blood on your hands worth it? They can protect you from the creatures but when they pilot your body, there’s no guarantee they can keep that body alive if their target fights back. Those scratches make that very clear.

Think you might take any more bookings? You may have found a new source of demand from the supernaturally inclined. With Jorge on board, I think you could make it work, though I have no doubt the temptation will always be there. If you take some extra measures to keep yourselves safe… Could be something to consider.

If you choose to move on, you probably should start avoiding the coasts. I have a feeling they’ll find you if you don’t.
