It is not everyone, just some of "experts judges" of the recent awards shows and I do not think they hate. Probably lots of them never even watch it and others just like the competing shows better.

Actually critics loved it. At the 28th Critics choice awards held in Jan, BCS won Best Drama beating HOTD and Severance.

So it is wrong to say the show did NOT win a single award. It is not true.

Bob Odenkrik won best actor, Giancarlo Esposito won best supporting actor but I agree Rhee Seahorn got screwed over even by the critics.

Actually I feel the first season was overrated hence I like second season better. Maybe the nicer setting (who does not love Italy) and nicer cast ( love Meghann Fahy, Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, Michael Imperioli and F Murray Abraham even before I watched the show) and after watching I like the 3 Italian actress too. Also I prefer a "sex" theme more than "class" theme.

I heard S3 will be "death" theme which might be very interesting.

I think a show like White Lotus is very dependant of the setting and cast.

I really like Olivia cooke character in the first season. >!I was wondering if she also died in the book too? Well even in the series it was not clear. I thought she left because she went to film house of the dragon. The show did not even mentioned anything about her in S2. A bit disappointing as I really liked her in S1.!<

So I do not mind book spoilers if anyone wants to share.
