If I am not mistaken their GPU line has still yet to produce anything for them in terms of market penetration. Still, it's hard to do anything when you release very little product and what you do release is riddled with so many bugs in the drivers upon release. I think some of the driver issues are resolved, but I'm not 100% sure.

You joke, but I swear it appears that a lot of big companies operate that way. An example of this is where some companies don't like a law and govt refuses to change said law, so they spend money to get a crony elected and have them change the law. Just another instance of sad state of affairs for government as if they needed yet another instance of it.

I know right? Doesn't matter what new wireless speed they pursue, if the connections are over saturated or they have a small pipe back hauling to the internet people are going to get craptastic speeds. She should be addressing the over saturated connections and any bottlenecks in back hauls so that when 6G or whatever new wireless speeds are implemented that it's a better experience for anyone and everyone connected.

Global UC seems shady as fuck, when you read at the bottom of the article.

>It may be that this company was just one of many shells set up to funnel mass calling operations into the U.S., in which case its shutdown is probably not too consequential for the ones pulling the strings. It’s difficult to say, since as the FCC notes in its order, Global UC wasn’t very forthcoming about its operations. I’ve asked the FCC for a bit more detail on the company’s customers and will update if I hear back.

I'm with you, and personally I think part of it is lack of knowledge, at least around here where I live it is. Once I do let people know about what a co-op is they are immediately on the hunt for one. Sadly, where I live there aren't any close by, but that won't stop me for encouraging others to go with a co-op before one of the big companies

I used to work for a co-op, and they truly care about bringing the best offering they can to their customers (and potential customers). So many times, did the big players tried to screw us one way or the other vs make their own service offerings better. We were offering faster speeds for cheaper prices, not to mention better customer service. I know I sound like an ad right now, but man it was almost like day and night difference between the co-op and the big players. The big players are trying their best to get rid of the Universal Service Fund which the co-ops are able to pull money from to improve and maintain their services for the purpose of squeezing the smaller companies out. Greedy jerks.
