Yeah after what Russia has been up to since it seems even more relevant. Just the people who complained didn't actually live here which makes it more annoying.

If you ring the city tax office they will tell you what your bill will be.

You can combine this with the Holy Name Cemetery which is nice esp during the warm weather.
Stephen R. Gregg Park in Bayonne is worth going to as well, though isn't so easy to get to. It also has a wetlands section on the North End, there is a parking lot by the i78 bridge crosses the river.

A third Academy 1, a third MS4 AEP and the rest between regular MS4, Infinity, Explorer and others. Academy 1 has the blue ribbon award and high published scores, but I'm not convinced its better than MS4 AEP enough to be worth the hike. DM me if you have questions.

When the sale goes through the abatement paid will go up as well. We can check next year.
If JC never had abatements most of the downtown gentrification just wouldn't have happened. Ordinary homeowners would be paying much much more.

Abatement doesn't mean its free. On the city website it says pays ~22k per year. I'd suggest the owners dont send kids to school so you are in no way subsidizing them.

Truth. Inner city schools with populations with high levels of poverty and poor/illegal immigrants are always going to get below average scores. Its pretty difficult to expect otherwise.

I think its mixed, esp for wealthy families. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-kindergarten#Impact . The main problem is its expensive.

I think pre-k 3 & 4 are unnecessary in gentrified parts of the city. They were brought it when JC was a poor urban district but its a bit crazy to see families in million dollar condos getting special funding for pre-k. I know NYC does it now too, but doesn't happen in normal NJ suburbs.

I'd suggest there are very few multi-generational families in JC, the population regularly turns over. At the end of the war most residents all left for the suburbs which were all being developed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jersey_City,_New_Jersey#Demographics .

I'm not saying you're wrong, but do you have any examples of what things we're wasting money on. I dont see anything obvious.
