Darning socks and watching Best in Show

Same old, back to the grind.

I rewatched Superbad for the first time in probably 10 years over the weekend and it holds up.

We went to Cherie’s a few years ago not knowing anything about the owner. Boyfriend went the record rooms and found a few well-priced hidden gems, which he commended on while checking out. Owner then told him his good-for-nothing intern mislabeled them and tried to up the price but “cut him a deal” because he bought like 12-15 records. Really does seem like the only way he can stay in business is because of the aggressive “YOU BREAK IT YOU BUY IT” signs posted up every five feet on mountains of stuff strewn everywhere.

On an more positive note, I discovered Vintage Glass and Pottery in Lakeside a few months ago. Lovely owners with a well-organized shop and good amount of Pyrex/Corningware in one of the back rooms. :)

Boyfriend uses Flonase during the day then he and the cat both take Zyrtec at night. (Welcome to town!)

I’m a few years late to the party but recently finished season two of Norsemen on Netflix. It’s like Vikings meets Monty Python. Can’t recommend it enough

I too am on #teamleftovers. Finishing up the last of the white chicken chili with some Salsa Verde Tostitos. Will definitely use this thread for dinner inspiration later.

Crater Community Hospice Thrift Shop in Midlothian (across from Chesterfield Town Center in the old Pier 1 Imports building). Went earlier today and they had lots of decently-priced furniture!

What’s wild is how much the prices can differ between Uber & Lyft at the same time. 7-mile ride home from a party at 12:15 last night and our options were a $53 Lyft vs $14 Uber. I kept watching the Lyft prices after calling the Uber out of curiosity, dropped down to $27 for 3-4 minutes around 12:25 but shot back up into the $50s by the time the Uber arrived.
