It was a different IEM (I think) but HBB / BGGAR did an unboxing of one of their super expensive IEM's. I don't think he ever gave a full review though.

How do you find the fit comfort? They aren't huge but I've seen some complaints about the chunkiness combined with the weird angles.
I've considered ordering these since they aren't real costly and the Arias are on the heavy side, which I use a lot as a basic daily driver (YouTube, occasional music, also I won't cry if I drop and break them like I would with my more expensive gear).

I addressed your Chi-Fi service complaints as well, you could have posted that further up... but why not let other people wait out your true sentiments?
You seem to be perpetually upset.

TBF dealing with some Chinese companies can be pretty rough. You almost always have to pay shipping for returns or RMAs back to China as well which further complicates things.
EDIT - Looks like I was beat to this similar comment.

That was your question, now you're moving the goal posts:
>If you don't wanna buy chinese, you are basically out of luck
>The ADI 2 is one of few that fit that bill but is also highly expensive.
Schiit and Geshelli are American brands. RME is a German brand. They still source their PCB's elsewhere.

Schiit? Geshelli? I'm sure others.
All the PCB's and many of the chips are made in China regardless.

Just buy a different DAC? The software functionality (including screen) of the ADI is what makes it $1K. The inputs and outputs aren't anything revolutionary.

Amir basically runs a cult so many people active on ASR don't really care if his measurements are meaninglessly or not and many are convinced bigger / lower number = better / worse even if it isn't audible. Amir also does his "listening tests" after measuring but his 70 year old ears are infallible. On the other hand the Abyss guys seem like pretentious clowns.
I think Amir and Abyss deserve each other.

Apparently it is/was. See recent Zeos video and comments by Dekoni on prototyping them. I think the new Dekoni pads are some type of Abyss collab and are included in the new model but I didn't get too far in the video because Zeos was shilling so hard it was getting obnoxious.

/r/oratory1990 is also a good sub for EQ help but not as active. There's a tech help question sticky in that sub as well.

Not saying you're wrong or right but this is a weird conundrum with testing gear; some people claim to hear subtle differences and called out for it being placebo, but if some people can truly hear it and others can't then ultimately there's no way to tell if you can't hear it.
Placebo is also a thing. Even if there's no objective difference, if your brain says "this sounds better", then it does.
I really don't know what you hear but I can't fault you for hearing it.
Need more double blind tests because I suspect a lot of these testers would be destroyed and makes it harder to promote their affiliate links.

Isn't this meme supposed to follow a pattern that scales? Quadrant 4 should be smashing the headphones or electrocution. (Alternatively warrantying the headphones in which case this meme sucks).

Beyer pads are honestly some of the easiest pads to remove, clean, replace, etc.

Return them? Exchange them? This isn't a complicated matter. You don't mention in your post that they didn't include key parts.

You're way too gullible. Legit I would just order the Chus, take the hooks, then return them. Not the best way to go about things but it works. Otherwise you can dig around on Ali Express.

With VR there are a lot of wires going in and out so it's probably not going to work with the hooks. You got burned dude take it up with Microsoft.

Chu is poo
New $20 IEM's are around without those hooks. Imagine how embarrassed you would be walking around with those hooks.

Properly volume matching is a thing to be aware of. Your ears aren't great measurement sticks.
Planars can take a lot of power though so I'm not negating what you said, but "I volume matched by ear" isn't a great comparison.

I was hoping this cable might make a good replacement for the IE300/600/900 cable but apparently it won't be releasing separately until spring or summer. Sucks to hear it still has some memory issues and microphonics.
