SEO was bullshit to begin with. If you have quality original content then search engines will find it. They're actually really good at that. I am concerned that AIs will create and consume more of the content online than humans

Can both not be true at the same time? yes, we will reach AGI and then the Singularity and yes the climate and ecological crises will tip over to being irreversibly bad (unless we change course)

Look at what happened with the Covid19 vaccine. We essentially had the formula in 2 days and it still took a year and a half to complete testing, get it through the regulators and distribute (to the richer part of the world). Death can be a very binary thing for those six million people who died meanwhile.
