They are! I don't live in Florida but I think I read that you can kill them all you want.

I actually think about this every time I throw away a water bottle, because I do use them often. I always dump liquid contents from bottles before I throw them out. I don't do a lot for environment conservation, but not littering and not throwing water into landfills are the two mounds I'll die on.

I had to zoom in. I thought the "unlucky victim" was an avalanche victim that was discovered after the snow melted away, left as nothing but bones hung up against a tree stump.

I wouldn't kill them either. I don't hunt because I would feel bad about it lol. I just hear that they're pretty much open game year round. I think some places take them for money, even, to promote it.
